About Us
The name Manners is synonymous with plastering in Bedfordshire and its surrounding counties. In the early 1960’s Dave Manners started his own business which grew quickly into a thriving and successful sub-contract plastering company, with offices in Battison Street, Bedford. In 1968 the company moved to its present base in Bunyan Road, Kempston. When Dave retired in 1989 his son Mick took over the reins and remains at the helm to this present day.
This family business has a long history of providing quality workmanship to the Construction industry and that continuity is a key factor in the achievement of such high standards on a repeatable basis. Because its roots go back over fifty years MDL has the ability to provide traditional and bespoke plaster finishes of bygone times, alongside modern drylining.
In contrast to the majority of the competition, MDL is a plastering company which also drylines…not vice versa. Another standout feature of the firm is that it crosses the boundaries between Housing and Commercial work where most companies tend to work in either one sector or the other. During the past MDL has worked upon countless projects in both fields and their skilled operatives are as equally at home working upon a new office development as a new housing estate.
